Ronen Nissan is a very versatile conductor and arranger whose repertoire ranges from symphonic and sacred music to works by composers persecuted by the Nazis, to cross over , film music and even tango projects. Mr. Nissan served until recently as the Music Director of the ” St Stephan” Choir and Chamber Orchestra (Tulln, Austria). In recent years he conducted the Berliner Symphoniker and the German Radio Orchestra on tour in China. He led the soloists, choirs, ballet, and orchestras of Stara Zagora and Veliko Tarnovo Operas (Bulgaria) in Strauss Gala and Classic Hollywood film programs, the Opole Philharmonic orchestra ( Poland), as well as the Duisburger Philharmoniker (Germany) in his own cross over Project “The Well Seasoned Clarinet”. Mr. Nissan served as conductor of the choir of Vienna’s principal Synagogue and as Assistant with the Neue Oper Wien (New Opera Vienna) and the Wiener Operntheater (Vienna Opera Theater). He is also an active guitarist.
My repertoire encompasses not only standard works of the symphonic and sacred repertoire but also modern works, film music and cross over projects.
